Dr Naiman, in an interview with Michael Mutzel, High Intensity Health podcast, explains that the most addictive foods are those high in both carbs & fat–usually processed foods. He gives the four signs of insulin resistance, which should be found early, but usually isn’t. The medical community usually waits until triglycerides are above 500 or even 1000, which is when the horse is way out of the barn!
