TAYLOR DEGROOT 1 | Sunglasses DISTORT light spectrum…can cause eye damage

http://www.DoctorsToTrust.com
presents episode 527 | Dr Taylor DeGroot
Carnivore Yogi podcast

Problem with sunglasses is they cut out all of
the UV light and heavily distorts the light spectrum
-full spectrum of light allows us to absorb
vitamin D
-important for blood sugar regulation
-immune system function
-optimizes gut biome
If out in sun for a really long period, recommend:
-protection by eating foods with
-vitamin E, vitamin C, zinc, iodine, vitamin A
-saturated fats, like butter
All protective against UV light…especially vitamins E & C

Additional protection:
-wide-brimmed hats
If you need, need to wear sunglasses…
-recommend neutral gray tint
(it cuts down on the visible light spectrum)
-so makes the spectrum more balanced by
~cutting down both visible and UV light
Gray lenses are good for light sensitivity & glare
“They used to blame ptergium (surfer’s eye) on the sun
-but study on Cree people (Canadian First Nation), who
~were in bright sun and wearing wrap-around sunglasses
~still got ptergium: therefore, results: it is not just the sun

Question: cataracts caused mainly by sunlight?
Main causes:
-improper nutrition
-wearing sunglasses all the time
-non-native EMF exposure (electromagnetic field)
-glycation of the eye lens proteins
-calcification
-depletion of eye anti-oxidants
(vitamin C and glutathione) via poor diet
