Stasha Gorminak. Researcher leading research in vitaminD rejected by vitamin D medical groups
D receptors on brain sleep center:
-has been rejected by vitamin D
“I have had hundreds of patients
over past 30 years: I should have
LEARNED THIS IN MED SCHOOL”
Endocrinology took responsibility
for this hormone [D] and how it fit
in all other hormonal cycles
Why does everyone have low T?
-it is not just sleep apnea!
Vitamin D comes when you can be
fertile, sun in summer means food
“Medicine, arrogantly, said: We are
not responsible for vitamins…
that is for ‘lesser humans'”
-This: in the 80s!
-just when vitamin D began declining
“Walter Stumpf and I write a
paper: clinical observation:
-if every patient has low D
-what is the proper blood level?
[NOT A DOSE ISSUEl…this is a
hormone: must get blood level] I check patients’ blood level: 40!
-but taking 10k IU daily
[internet says can’t absorb…
“As I do this more and more…
I realize they are making it up!”
I was offended!
pulmonologist: “med problems from
sleep apnea: oxygen drops”
THAT IS NOT TRUE
-my patients, with sleep disorders
did not have oxygen drops
Problem in this area of medicine:
Vitamin D has become POLITICIZED
-they don’t teach it in med school
-it is an incredibly important hormone
-enormous scientific literature
-scientists are all excited about D
-it is in every part of our biochemistry
CLINICIANS ARE TOLD NOT TO
TALK ABOUT IT…AS IF IT IS BAD
-physicians discouraged to talk about
-lay patients KNOW MORE THAN DR
