Pranavan Yoganathan: Fiber & reflux MYTHS! Fiber drives methane; reflux cause: lack of gut motility
Dr Pranavan Yoganathan, Australia Gastroenterologist is interviewed by Dr Shawn Baker on Meatrx.com’s Youtube podcast: He discusses the actual drivers of methane discomfort in the gut as well as acid reflux. Fiber drives methane and the resultant bulk & fermentation causes gas and distress. Acid reflux is not an acid-based disease, but mostly comes from slow gut motility, which backs up to the esophogeal muscle, weakening it and causing reflux.
